FUN SCIENCE FACT: Some species of birds and reptiles have transparent secondary eyelids, called "nictitating membranes" which are used to keep the surface of the eye clear of debris. Apparently Equestrian dragons like Spike have them, too.
It's little details like this that make me love this show. Not to mention the fact that the animators aren't afraid to make a character look creepy as hell from time to time. |
