Yeah because the film try to capture the "orgin" rather than Godzilla itself,

The problem with the American movie was that it wasn't so much about Godzilla but a goddamn, forced and stupid romantic subplot. Not, you know, the actual monster.
Some Godzilla fans lament the design, the CGI, its attempts on trying to be visually similar to Jurassic Park dinos, etc. While not unwarranted criticisms, the movie sucked because it focused on a guy who studies worms for a living and a reporter who exploits him to get herself a story. Meanwhile, in the cartoon was all about the creature and how it's like a child. |

yep, I like the design I was hoping for the good part showing Godzilla fight another monster from the nuke blast or something, instead I got a bad "girl" godzilla and people I don't care about trying to survive Jurassic Park Subway... I enjoyed the Cartoon, wished they did that to the movie like discovered hatching egg and hide it from gov who chasing it then monster comes and kick ass fighting and runs in the water. |

Well its Zilla jr (not confused with Little Godzilla who later dropped little and people added Jr. if i'm not mistaken) but this is Godzilla that the fans wanted out of the film hence the "Zilla"
I see 3 "zilla" mother/father Zilla jr (show) and the zilla from that pathetic 18 second fight they all look different. |

Totally unlike the Godzilla movie in 1954 that focused on the Japanese people, the one in 1968 that focused on the Kaiju Defense Force, the one in 1972 about aliens in a theme-park, the one in 1975 with a human love story, the one in 1984 with the Cold War conflict, the one in 1999 about the news reporters, the one in 2004 with the mutants... Every problem in the 1998 movie also exists in the Japanese movies. Even earlier monsters like Varan were killed by the military. Try again. |

The American Godzilla didn't suck because it was an attempt by baka gaijin to rip off Glorious Nippon. It sucked because it was a Roland Emmerich movie. |
