This what I like about the Spike episodes. The writers do a great job of portraying him as a little kid, with a little kid's thought-processes. It's a welcome relief from the wise-cracking-adult-in-a-child's-body kids we get too often in cartoons. |

Also, he probably wouldn't had that mindset if Cherilee did not gave him that hat. Pretty sure any child who gets gifts from strangers by declaring its their birthday would assume some sort of entitlement. |
