I was really expecting Spike to go King Kong in Ponyville...but I guess what had happened is fine too... |

I keep thinking about Fallout: Equestria.
I mean, his Full Grown form doesn't have wings, that makes F:E Spike not entirely cannon now :P But who cares anyway, I'm still waiting for Chapter 45, the last Cliffhanger was intense! |

@TheXIIILightning Lots of people have suggested that the hoard induced adult form isn't really what Spike will look like fully matured, and that wings sprout only from natural physical development, so I'm gonna be sticking by that theory. |

Or maybe, maybe Spike is a species of wingless dragon? |
| Mattatatta #755928 7 months ago |
Either way, until FiM canon explicitly says that Spike will never naturally acquire wings, FO:E remains relatively intact |

Spike went batshit insane with greed, nothing about his growth was natural. Every other dragon we've seen kept a hoard, sure, but they also had wings and were surprisingly reasonable. Well, the red one was. The green one was just a dick. I imagine Spike will undergo a natural growth cycle complete with wings.
The only alternative is that dragons stay young and generous forever until they give themselves up to greed, in which they become solitary greedy monsters. And that would be kinda tragic. |

Personally I wouldn't mind if he grew wings, but I think what they're getting at is that he may be a kind of dragon that doesn't ever have wings. |
| Anonymous #755935 7 months ago |
And FO:E is intact no matter what, it's an alternate future remember? |
| ElementofChaos #755937 7 months ago |
...So basically what Glord said. :P Ninja'd. |
| Glord #755946 7 months ago |
I kinda like anon 930's idea in their second sentence.

Yea I hope Spike gets to grow up normally. If that's the only way dragons can grow up...well...that seems really, really unfair. :( |

Paragraph, I meant paragraph. |

New episode, Y U SO GOOD ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) |
| Anonymous #756028 7 months ago |
In response to Glord, I can totally imagine Spike trying to cope with that condition. On one hand, he knows Rarity shares the same feelings for him. On the other hand, he knows he might never grow up unless he gives in to avarice, and that might mean having to give her up. Because never mind the fact that he may be mature at heart, he's still technically just an infant. |

Honestly, if they have added the Wonderbolts it was a crime not to make a King Kong & fighter planes reference. |
| Anonymous #756062 7 months ago |
It seems Spike has more matching attributes to Rarity than ever. Not only do they have gems in common but Rarity is the element of generosity and a dragon's heart is prone to greed.
Spike can easily turn into a monster again but with Rarity with him, that possibility is kept in check. Like Bruce Banner and Betty Ross, I guess... |

Spike is a Wyrm |

Spike could be a wingless species that is adept at magic |
| Ping_chan #756319 7 months ago |
Everfree forest is a 'natural' place, but everything else seems to operate on magic.
Maybe dragons do not have anything 'natural about their growth and structure. Spike eats gems and was actually hatched using a magic method, maybe his future, size and shape depends on magic? |
