I read a lot of books about astrophysics doesn't mean I know about biology.
She's probably been reading mostly into magic, and I'm pretty sure there won't be many books on dragons. |

The best thing to hoard are friends. They can all share your stuff. You'll still have lots of stuff, but doing more use to others than just yourself. Just make sure they don't throw it our or give it away ouside of your friends group! |

You would think though that since she is raising a baby dragon as an assisstant she would have read up on dragon biology and thier life cycle. |

You do realize though that Twilight might be the first pony ever who raises a baby dragon?
Cause the doctor didn´t even regocnized Spike as dragon till he got fire to his FACE! And the vet said to know nothing about dragons. So ponies have probably only meet big, grown-up dragons who are always grumpy and dangerous. That they grow with hoarding stuff is probably something only few know about. Like Zecora or Celestia for example. |
