It's funny because Cream is overpowered in almost all of the games she is playable. (the only exception I can think right now is Sonic Heroes) |

Consider, if you will, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood.
Cream is a Game Breaking healer, who, with the right Chao and a hight enough level, can keep everyone using their special techniques indefinitely, as well as top off everyone's HP in almost any circumstance. Why wouldn't you want Fluttershy to be like that? |

FRIENDSHIP ANALYSIS GO
Rainbow Dash/Sonic - Okay, they'd have races together, both a bit cocky at times, more of a friendly rivalry. Applejack/Knuckles - Knuckles lives by himself on a floating island, so I'm guessing he's into nature as much as Applejack. Both strong and faithful. They could learn a lot from each other. Pinkie Pie/Amy Rose - No, don't see this happening. Pinkie should maybe chill with Shadow, he needs cheering up. Fluttershy/Cream - I can imagine Shy cuddling Cheese and Cream cuddling Angel. They'd get on just fine, though Shy would have to get used to being called "Ms Fluttershy" all the time. Twilight/Blaze - Nah, Blaze is a princess, maybe she'd have a tea party with Celestia. Twilight and Tails can talk about fusing his machines with her power of Magic. Rarity/Rouge - I can see those two going crazy at the boutique, Rarity making dresses for a biped (her biggest challenge yet!) and Rouge freaking out about how many jewels there are in Equestria. |

^ I can see Twilight's equivalent to be more in line with Sally; Applejack would be to Bunny Rabbot; maybe Spike can be paired with Antoine if he had an accent. |

I can see Rarity/Rouge. the first time I watch a Rarity episode I feel like she's somewhat like Rouge, she's like a generous version of Rouge in my opinion. |

I think the reason for Twilight and Blaze is because they're both connected to royalty and they both had trouble making friends. Also they both were teased when they were younger. |
