Very interesting.
I like how everything is in a serious tone and the characters are more "realistic" i guess. I'm under the assumption this is something like after a serious battle and princess Celestia is at the end of her strength and discord is being a sick twisted bastard and just toying with her during her last moments. But i also notice there's no blood nor wounds or anything of that sort to suggest this is the case and the only other conclusion i can come to is that they're really into each other. If that's the case then really not a whole lot about the atmosphere really suggests any of that. Bottom line is its a great picture with a pretty neat idea however I'm getting mixed messages as to what the picture is about. In some styles of art there's usually a lot of ways you can interpitate things and that's okay for those who like that sort of thing, however this image seems as if it has a point to get across but at the same time it seems confused as to what that message might be. But that's just the way i see it i can't decide whats going on but i like the idea more that they were beating the living shit out of each other and that's probably more what the idea is but i wouldn't put the other idea past a lot of the fans. |

It looks like she's got a broken wing and he looks rather tender here. There's something I find rather tantalising about seeing these two as a couple; maybe it's just the idea of them playing with each other's powers or the fact there's an implied prankster spirit in Celestia that he brings out the best of despite her having the responsibilities as a ruler.
I don't really know what I'm blathering about. It's just a nice pic. |

I would say it shows, that they used to be a couple, but Discord became evil (think Loki) but while there is a lot of bad blood between them now, Discord has a tiny ammount of love for her. |
