The strange thing about Winona is that it felt as if she's always been there somewhere. When I first realized that she appeared in only 1 episode before "may the best pet win" I was quite surprised. |

Wow, I didn't realise that winona had only appeared in two episodes. Like what Cgeta said, I felt like Winona had simply 'been there' throughout the season, but had no role in a storyline. |

Winona's just a sheep dog.
Don't get me wrong, I like her, but if you think about the others pets: Gummy is shown a lot for comedic purposes. Opalescence is shown to be sick of Rarity, also for comedic purposes. The owl (can't spell the name) contributes to a main storyline. Same with Tank. And Angel is there to be a reality check to Fluttershy. Basically, Winona's just there to show Applejack has a pet. |
