Holy shit, I thought I was the only one! I legitimately thought Scoots was a guy till I realized everypony was referring to her with female pronouns. I still have a hard time seeing her as a girl. Damn you, traditional gender roles. |

And this is true. I always assume Scoots to be male before I remind myself. RD at least has some girly moments, but Scoots depiction including fanart is 100% misleading. |

Been into this since late February, I've never wrongly referred to Scootaloo as a male.

I don't think I've ever confused a characters gender in this show before, I can see how people mistake Scoot and Dash for boys though, they're both pretty boyish in nature and they both have somewhat deep voices, my mother still can't seem to understand Dash isn't a boy >> |

Kind of, I guess. I'm no specialist, and I may be saying shit, but I think that transgender is a person that was born with body and mind of oposite genders. Therefore, I mean a fic where Scoots is a filly with the mind of a colt. |

Yeah, I know. With few exceptions, most of our fanfiction isn't really that invested in exploring issues, and most people are decent enough not to play gender identity for exploitation, so I don't think there's much. I've seen a few headcanons to that effect, though. |
