I really don't think anybody here takes it seriously. We're taking someone being a dick lightly and making it fun, that is more or less the brony spirit. Just cause we use images and gifs for that effect dosn't call for the need to compare to 4chan.

I suppose it sounded aggressive, but this was really an occasion I'm not concerned with choking the page because nobody cares about Pony News anyway. But that filly Twilight dancing image is something people could enjoy.

And for the record, I've met one person in this entire fandom who was older than I am. But I use "kids" anyway as a matter of habit.

Ok, I understand that with that dancin Twi, but it still stands that it was in just a bit of fun.
It wasn't as though it was rocket science for people to go to the acutal source anyway.
We did kinda fuck up the post (like many on here), but not the image. And if anything more people probably payed more attention to the whole thing because of the comments.
Nobody complained about it till you came along anyway, so it seems that people were enjoying it (not a personal attack <3).

I'm sure you all had plenty of fun. That's good. We're all having fun here.
But there were like, three or four people posting every few seconds. If they take a day or two, they're a hilarious community incident. When they take less than half an hour to break a hundred, it's masturbation.
Just kind of chiming in on behalf of others, ya know?

I mean really, whatever, not like I have any sort of impact or authority. Just sort of encouraging a bit more discretion in picspamming unless it's crap like this.

Making dancing filly Twilight hard to access is hindering others. Making pointless drama host a shit-ton of internet images is reclaiming the database entry for others.
At least how I see it.

Okay, I see your point.
I'll try to avoid helping "image masturbation" on images that are actually serious and quite good, and i'll also understand that you are not having a cry but just trying to encourage to be lighter on the whole thing.

Bit of advice though, try to avoid giving reason to stop on these sorts of images as you did at first, not the best of things for us and kinda makes yourself a target. Oh, and to avoid calling this place 4chan. There was a big thing about it just as I joined up a few months back (just ask Jackarunda about it), it kinda opens up old wounds, again making yourself a target.

The responses in my forebrain are all quite flippant, mostly centred on my concern for my Ponibooru reputation or on calling it how I see it when conversation devolves to shouting memes back and forth, but I'll take your message in the spirit of community outreach it was intended and see how that goes. I more or less didn't expect anybody to even bother reading it, actually.
