I never did understand why artists like to draw her as African-American. There's already an African-American character in the form of Zecora, who fulfills the role pretty well on her own without being a stereotype. Twilight sounds just as Caucasian (white) as her friends, so I can't imagine her being anything but Caucasian when humanized. The other non-white nationalities might work if you're really making a stretch, but African-American just doesn't seem to fit IMO. |
