Rainbow Dash and the Strength Arcana
Rainbow Dash wraps up the Mane Six with the Strength Arcana. In both P3 and P4, the Strength Arcana was related to the school sports team in some way. The Strength Arcana is associated with “the morality about the stronger power of self control and courage.” I see that in relation to loyalty, especially to one’s friends even when things look bleak. Strength may also represent creative or physical energy that needs to be, or is about to be unleashed, maybe as a Sonic Rainboom: Beautiful and powerful. The last bit in particular to the Strength Arcana that relates here is “a need to be recognized.” Thanks to the Mare Do Well episode, we know Dash craves attention. In P3, Yuko acts as the sport team manager, but struggles in finding her life’s calling. After mentoring some younger kids for a race, (and earning some fans) she finds her path. The admiring and appreciative kids remind me of Scootaloo’s admiration for Dash. In P4, the Strength Arcana has two outlets: Kou of the Basketball Team or Daisuke of the Soccer team, however, the choice just creates a focus on that particular member. The Arcana itself is still represented by two longtime friends together, and their genuine worry for each other shows a true bond of loyalty. No matter whose team you pick to join, you’ll still be hanging out with the other person as well. They’re inseparable, much like Rainbow Dash with her own friends, and she’ll fight to the end to keep it that way. |

Even though SMT got the numbers wrong. Justice is number 11, strength is number 8. |

Actually, SMT is doing right. They're using the traditional numbering of the deck, Justice is the eighth card while Strength is eleventh. But, due to the influence of Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the numbers are switched for both arcana. So, both placements are still considered valid. |

The arcana is the means by which all is revealed. Only with strength can one endure suffering and torment. |
