While Carpenter's The Thing was an awesome film, I feel it could have been so much better in the hands of another director.
I love it, but whenever I see it I feel that Carpenter wasn't sure whether to make a horror based around paranoia, or just an action gore-flick. To be honest I think it's more thanks to screenwriter and director of photography that this turned out so well. And don't forget Ennio Morricone. |
