Spike would only leave because of his size. And even if he does leave, he'd just be moving into a dragon cave of his own that's most likely close to Ponyville. He's not the only dragon that lives in Equestria. |

^^ But adult dragons are known to slumber for centuries. The odds of any of them seeing him again--awake--are abysmally low.
Twilight's trying to put on a brave front and not let the others, or Spike, see her cry. Rarity's too emotive to try to be stoic about it, and has broken down sobbing. The others know nothing they could say could console her, so they just let her be. |
