I never understood why people ship these two. They've never even met. What happened was someone just went "hurrr dey both have musical cutiemarks so they should be lezbiyenz 2gether." They're probably the same sort of people who see a pony with a carrot cutie mark and name her "Carrot Top." ZOMG OUR COMMUNITY IS SO CREATIVE!

I want to see Netherrealm collaborate with Capcom to make Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter. That doesn't mean I want Ed Boon and Yoshinori Ono to have buttsex.
What annoys me is that the Octavia/VS shippers are trying to do the same thing that the Lyra and Bon Bon shippers did-- they want to hijack both characters and turn them into something that they find more pleasing, and there's not a damned thing the rest of us can do to counteract them except complain or ship them with other characters. Think about how much hate I'd get if I wrote a shipfic between Bon Bon and Caramel. The slash shippers decided that LyraxBonBon is "almost canon," and they ruined both characters for the rest of us. What is so bad about fans of Octavia and Vinyl Scratch who don't ship them drawing a line and saying "no, not again"? |

I really do think the ship works well seeing as opposites attract. It is a cute couple and the mix of loud rave to classical soft is great! |
