She looks too much like a boy. Most tomboys do not deny their own femininity-- they just happen have a mindset of practical over pretty, which they share with most boys. Many prefer more practical, low-maintenance haircuts, but they aren't afraid to let it grow out and let themselves look like girls. They like low maintenance haircuts because they want to be practical and don't care about tarting up. If you see a girl with a butch but high maintenance haircut like in this picture that clearly requires lots of gel and combing, it's because they are trying to look masculine, and that is way beyond being a tomboy. |
