Fleur reminds me of a fashion model who doesn't eat enough. I find her to be disturbing as much as beautiful because she seems to personify the emptiness of the elite existence Rarity looks up to.
Note to self: Suggest Fleur model for Velvet. |

Fancypants reminds me a lot of the French president seeing as he is married to a lingerie model and Fancypants has Fleur at his side.

This... Kind of makes sense. Fancypants IS the only rich mortal Canterlot pony that comes across as anything other than a huge fucktard, as it were. And it felt sort of like he was being set up as a mentor to Rarity, a la Celestia and Twilight.
He certainly has an oddly endearing charm about him. I can see how Her Radiance would want to tap that. I don't know if any offspring would come of that, though. It's more likely that Fleur is just Fancypants' wife. |

I think that she looks kinda like Celestia because Celestia is probably the model for beauty by Equestrian standards. Therefore, a high-class noblemare like Fleur would aspire to look like Celestia. |

^Agreed. Luna's renewed presence and gangly physique would only increase the interest in that "look."
As for the Fancypants/Fleur relationship, though, I am still enamoured with the idea of her being some sort of thief or con artist who can't quite seem to get the better of Fancypants - which gives him an amusing Gomez Addams flavour. :D |

The above two posts are my thoughts exactly. Fancypants is the only stallion too clever for her to con, and Fleur finds herself drawn to him as a result. I think Canterlot ponies might just be gigantic though. |

It's all about angle.
She actually has a very similar body type to Luna and Celestia, but the princesses have wings and are very often given imposing camera angles. |

Fleur's skinniness disturbs me. I remember thinking, as I watched the episode, "Girl, you gotta put some meat on them bones!" I doubt even Luna is that thin! |
