I mean, when I see Pinkie Pie nuzzled up to a big squishy Twilight I'm not filled with the vitriolic rage I'm apparently supposed to be. Instead I'm thinking "Pinkie Pie looks adorable here and Twilight probably feels really comfy". Should I be worried that I don't hate this? |

I don't mind this fetish. In fact, this pic isn't nearly sexually explicit enough to even count as fetishistic, in my mind. I can see where Anon is coming from.
It's when you get to "they're fat because they're filled with liquid, and might explode!" that it becomes fucked up. I like to love and tolerate, but mixing murderous implications into your porn means that you desperately need to seek help. |

Oh, and for the record, since you guys love through around the furaffinity thing. Inflation fetishism doesn't have its roots in the furry fandom, nor are they the largest contributors. In fact, on most of the fetish chans, furry art tends to be relegated to a separate broad. |

Saying that ALL the good pony art comes from FA is as much as a fallacy as saying none of the good pony art comes from FA. Statistically speaking most of the art comes from sources on DA some of whom have FA accounts but I digress. |

I realize in retrospect that he was talking about the good art in terms from that site. My fault,however people do acknowledge good art from the site when it doesn't involve some sort of absurd fetish. Assuming no one has acknowleged "hey this is a good piece on artwork from there" on good art despite it being from FA |

Yes, but he's trying to say that people just automatically say "Gah furaffinity" as if that's supposed to be some kind of insult. Ignoring that not all the art is fetish related.
All generalities like that do is promote infighting that weakens a fandom. |

Yeah I think it's kinda stupid when people post that picture on non fetish images from that site or start a shitstorm on pictures from there too. Mind you I have an aversion to fetish pictures myself but I won't pointlessly rage over non fetish art from there.
Heck someone got really mad over a picture from there a few days ago of the Mane 3 alicorns that was cute and clean and a shitstorm ensued. |

Our fandom seems to attract 3 kinds of people I greatly dislike. White-Knights, Anti-porn crowd, and fur-haters. They love nothing more then to start pointless flamewars since they think its either pushing their agenda or somehow helping out the fandom. What they don't relise is all they do is promote tension, and weaken us from the inside. If we fall apart into fights on the inside, how are we going to deal with outside threats. |

ok, my idea on this topic. what you find here on PBooru is basically the same makeup of people you find "IRL" outside. It just shows more openly. The same (kind of) guy enjoying the stuff posted above is likely to stand next to you in line at the supermarket tomorrow. You just dont realize it. So a board like PB is actually a good opportunity to see how you would react (or if youre able to accept and tolerate it) if all these people with their individual tastes spoke out openly. |
