I don't know why I find this little fact so odd. Naturally they should that sort of thing in this world obviously, but they've never shown it, talked about it or anything. In a kids show where the main characters "don't normally wear clothes," I guess it's understandable that they try not to bring attention to it, but it's so weird when they do. |

It's technically not the first time it's been referred to. Twilight's attempt at making a bird's nest in "Winter Wrap-Up" is compared to an outhouse, which i think is the similar thing. |

Yes they're horses, but we've already established that they're very human-ish (sapient with complex personalities and social dynamics) so it makes sense they wouldn't just piss or shit whenever and wherever they feel like it, quite unlike real horses. |
