Pinkie Pie and the Lovers Arcana
So, since the Mane 6 represented the Fool arcana, the next choice in my mind for Pinkie’s arcana would be Lovers. Between the games, Lovers has always been a female character, even in the Female Protagonist story of Persona 3 Portable, but that was platonic. My next reason has to do with Pinkie being so similar to Rise from P4 with their joyous nature, and I would completely expect Pinkie to be the first one to bring up “King’s Game” at a bar with her friends. In the show, Pinkie represents Laughter, something intended to bring smiles to others and that in itself makes her happy. Pinkie loves her friends and Party of One showed how devastated she became at the thought of her loved ones abandoning her. (Not shipping, platonic love) A somewhat non-important correlation is the use of pink and red for the game’s characters of the Lovers arcana, (Yukari’s shirt and Rise’s hair) and the card itself also uses a palate relating to pink to represent love. |
