Oh, I don't think anyone has a problem with grimdark if it's done well. It's just that there are so many terrible attempts at it. People see grimdark and think "Oh, another shitty fic." Fics like "FO:E" and "Backwards Through the Looking Glass" are breathtaking works of art. If you're writing with those same standards, I'd be honored to proofread for you. |

Eh, finished it. It was ok I guess, but again. Your source material is awful. You wrote possibly the best outcome, I'll give you that, but the Cupcakes thing has been done to death. There's beating a dead horse, then there's fucking it with the stick. Your writing is good, it's shame you're wasting it on a tired old cliche. |

It's not that your fic sucks. Your writing style is excellent. It's just that, well, nobody likes Cupcakes. You're writing a sequel to a trollfic that is more or less responsible for the negative backlash against Grimdark in general. It's been done to death. You're better off writing something with an original premise rather than trying to ride some perceived gravy train. |
