Just hope it's the last... |

Cut her some slack. She can improve, just give her time. |
| Scumbag_Crowley #735904 7 months ago |
She's been the only one so far to cut back to Pinkie's Sense, plus the Batman/Darkwing Duck references. I say let's see what else she can do. |
| Anonymous #735913 7 months ago |
Yeah, seriously. She can improve over time, and this episode wasn't that bad anyway. In fact, I don't see what's so horrible about this episode or dave polsky's episode's. |

I just hope she doesn't flanderdize the other characters when she writes another episode. |
| Anonymous #735948 7 months ago |
Somepony should send her some cupcakes. With the message "Here's some noobcakes for the obvious writing noob". |
| Anonymous #735972 7 months ago |
ok i didnt realize that there was so much hating for the ep. someone explain? thx |
| SammyLiimex #735997 7 months ago |
Me too. I thought it was great. it was very fun and had alot of references and a good moral, and had the first actual appledash scene |
| Anonymous #736042 7 months ago |
Agree with the above two. I liked it quite a bit. |

It's polarizing. Largely due to contrived dangers (somehing the writer could really improve on, but wasn't nearly as bad as what some writers pull) and idiots who wanted <insert favorite pony here> to be the one under that mask. |

The episode wasn't bad, it just seems like that to others because they had ludicrous expectations for the episode that simply were not going to happen, and were disappointed when they finally realised that.
The episode was good, but the premise was a little cliche, and it didn't deviate from the usual route such a premise takes. But other than that, it was an enjoyable episode, and it did have some neat things in it such as Mare Do Well's design, and Dash actually sitting down and thinking deeper down than usual for a moment (prior to planning to crash Do Well's award ceremony). Like a lot others are saying; let's see what this writer can do |

:) i wanted to make an argument based on the "its a kids show" thing... but... is it actually a kids show anymore? i dont think its too far fetched to say that a large part of viewers is now older than... well older then intended. |
| Fuzzy_Logic #736321 7 months ago |
I had no expectations for the episode whatsoever and I still think it was the absolute worst one yet.
The writing was just atrocious. The pacing was terrible. Everything about it was just BAD. |

They should really just stay away from morals on hubris and humility from now on.
They tell us to be honest, or to accept help, and we're fine with it. But whenever they tell us how much it is appropriate to brag and when, we lose our collective cool. So far it's been this, "Boast Busters," and "Feeling Pinkie Keen", and each time there's been nothing but trouble. |

It's annoying enough when Twilight steps in at the end of an episode to be totally sanctimonious, but when she drags in everyone else but Rainbow Dash, it becomes really uncomfortable. It would have been a lot better if they had encountered a problem they were unable to solve and Rainbow Dash had to save them. |

Personally, I thought it was good. Not great, but good, much like the Mysterious Mare-Do-Well.
It would've been better if Rarity's character model, the fame-seeker drama-queen bent on being recognized by any and all throughout Equestria was not compromised by forcibly learning humility in one episode and completely forget said humility the next episode...I'm kinda starting to regret them putting her as the Element of Generosity. However, that I guess is meant to curve her attitude over time, which unfortunately clashes with the supposed "screw character continuity for the sake of comedy and re-using old cliches to keep the series going" that maybe the overseers of the show desire to use to milk the show for all its worth. I don't blame the writers, just whatever goes on in the heads of those involved during editing, despite this having been written WAY before season one ended (remember that? because it seems like many keep forgetting that fact about the episodes in season 2). But this is my opinion so whatever. |

We're all talking about how Mare Do Well sucked all the balls. Nobody is talking about Sweet and Elite at all. |

Other than the forced dangers (which simply where super hero cliches) the episode was pretty good. Then again, Show Stoppers is my favorite episode so far.
So, i'm obviously not here for the same reason as the rest of the fandom. |

i dunno why people complain about this one. this is my fave S2 episode. |
