Sounds like creating a class system. It would probably push away new users/fans of the show since they won't have the same posting rights as older users. I don't like this idea of taking away any level of equality. |

Soooo, its a take on Gawker Media's "new users have to be approved by an Editor or any member with a Gold Star."
Once approved, a new member's comments can only be viewed by everyone once a Gold Star has promoted their comment. It helps to keep the riff-raff away, to a point. |

I think that, if they don't receive any feedback, they won't learn from it, either. I'm more partial to a simply vote comment up/down system that Danbooru has, so that spam can be filtered from the comments section except for when someone wants to read them. I wouldn't take away the right to change tags from beginners. But, to prevent that people can just-re-register and enter edit wars again, maybe there should be a short (3 day or 1 week) period during which you are in the "beginner" class, with auto-upgrade to the C class. We should give people the assumption of goodwill. Also, I would probably put uploads to the C class (so no uploads for the first 3-7 days if you're new or banned or something). I think we've adjusted well to the total freedom there is now (well, I've certainly become better at auto-filtering images and comments I don't wanna see) so there might not be a ned for this, but I do agree that it is often a hassle that just wastes everyone's time. |

^Implying people actually think they are making smart and witty comments.
If you have trolls, who simply want to annoy everyone they will probably only be pleased when they get banned because it proves that they have in fact suceeded in annoying everyone. Another feat. that would be really helpful would be to filter comments. Single persons, anon comments or pictures in comments. |
