Okay, yes.
Even if I didn't want to see Rarity suffer any further, that *was* a little bit of a loose end..... |

Rainbow Dash has plenty of reasons to rage out of control, lately. |

Maybe Dash would be cool with it. In fact, she may join in on the lie. |

YEARS LATER:
Tiny Pegasus: "How did you become the Wonderbowts trainwer, Wainbow Dash?" Dash: "........It's a long story." |

Gosh, first publicly humiliated by five of her closest friends, then lied about by a sixth because she's apparently too embarrassing to talk about. And said lie will probably create tension between herself and her childhood heroes to boot. |
| Anonymous #734873 7 months ago |
^Ummm, you mean four of her friends followed by a fifth, right? |
| Anonymous #734898 7 months ago |
And what's this about public humiliation? All the Mysterious Mare did was salvage situations after Rainbow tripped over her own swagger. Heck, they even led her to do the unmasking in back alley where nobody else had to see. |

BWAHA OH SHIT |

No, Dash, the other L word... |
| Anonymous #734966 7 months ago |
Well, FINE. This probably means we'll have to engage in comical business in which I follow around the Wonderbolts at a party and they treat me as their superior. This is REALLY inconvenient for me, Rarity, and I hope you understand that, but I'll do it because we're friends. |
| Anonymous #734979 7 months ago |
whether or not Dash was publicly humiliated shouldn't be the point; The fact that Twilight and the others opted not to do the right thing and confront Dash openly about her attitude and instead conspired behind her back should be cause for concern.
And for the record, Dash would fuckin' love to be the Wonderbolts' trainer, and it's probably on her "to do" list. |

With the candle stick in the parlor |

Because TALKING to Rainbow about her problems has such a great history of success. |
| Anonymous #735091 7 months ago |
@Drax99 No the other L word... I wasn't trying to trick you Scott. |

The fact that Twilight and the others opted not to do the right thing and confront Dash openly about her attitude and instead conspired behind her back should be cause for concern. What's so wrong about what they did? Furthermore, what's "right" about confronting people openly about what you believe is wrong? That would be moral imposition at its finest. For one thing, Dash's head was so far up her flank that she wouldn't have listened anyway. The other thing being that they were being an example themselves, showing Rainbow Dash how a hero really acts, and exposing the fact that Dash was only in it for the glory, not the heroism ("I'll prove to you I'm better!"). It's the same camp of thinking that asserts that Trixie wasn't in the wrong for what she did, even though she was also an arrogant (and lying) jerk. I guess egos are of paramount importance to people - in fact, psychologically, they are, given the nature of various defense mechanisms, so it would make sense that people don't like seeing these ponies being brought down a notch in a children's show, because it justifies, somehow, people doing the same to them. How about this? Everyone, everypony, is wrong in everything they do. There's no right, no good, just people and ponies being absolute hard-nosed jerks to each other in some form or fashion. There we go. No more moral quandries because they never existed in the first place. |

^you do realize that all the ones complaining were Anons, right? |
| dudemang #736504 7 months ago |
People who aren't Anon also complain about it. |
| Anonymous #736531 7 months ago |
Should check out a story on Equestria daily, most of them think that they shouldn't have done that to dash. |
| Anonymous #737970 7 months ago |
@dudemang Yeah, so they were being an example on proper hero behavior. But did Dash actually see that? No, of course not, she got competitive and jealous. And started acting even more stupidly.
Which is why I didn't like the episode, Mane 6 are supposed to be friends, and it should have been really obvious that RD would have reacted exactly as she did. And them ignoring that gave the episode this "RD is acting like an ass, and needs to be PUNISHED!" vibe, which really put me off. I feel it would have been a lot better with a Lesson Zero-like scene at the end with RD realizing she acted like an idiot, and her friends realizing they hurt her more than was actually warranted. |

^ In a similar vein, I think the writers need to find something else in Dash's character besides her ego to harp on. |
