I like the way Bon Bon is the classy one in their relationship |

... But Lyra was first seen in Canterlot.
It should be the other way around. |

Krek, I love your art. |

I kinda liked it before Bon-Bon was "promoted" to royalty.
Lyra was the one from Canterlot, but left her hair messy, and acted like a slob. While Bon-Bon was a commoner, but acted proper, and wore her hair very nice. This works, too. |

Lyra was there first, but seemed all casual and laid-back. She even waved at the Princess' personal student as she passed, as if she was just some mundane passerby..! What nerve! |

@Dach Twilight came from Canterlot, but she wasn't considered classy once in the entire episode. |

Its not where you're from, its who you are. |

There must be a difference between being a student in Canterlot and being a part of the high society. |

Twilight must have kept a very very low profile when she lived in Canterlot. If anyone knew how close she is to the Princess (cough) those fancy ponies would be fawning all over her!
And of course the Mane Six DID save the world on a few occasions, but everyone just sort of forgets about that. |

@anon537
You'd think that Celestia commissioned more art for the Mane 6 besides that stained glass window at her own castle, right? |

Twilight was a bookworm who didn't interact with anypony but Celestia and Spike when she was in Canterlot.
Subsequently she and the rest would be known, but only for the award ceremony after the Discord Incident. The Second Nightmare Moon Revolt happened in Ponyville and aside from a delayed sunrise would not have been noticed by Canterlot's elite. But Discord was months ago and it seems like most of the damage was done to Ponyville so again, not something worth paying attention to. |

Honestly, do we pay any attention to military heroes in real life? Ceremonies celebrating them would mean a lot within the military but mean less in New York and London.
Rarity isn't the military hero type and wouldn't want to be defined by that anyway. The favored student thing is Twilight's deal. |

^ Interesting point. I think some of us are forgetting JUST HOW SHALLOW these posh types are. They could have been right there at the ceremony, stomping applause, and then the whole business could have slipped their minds the moment there was a new style of shoe on the market. |

Huh, I was thinking they'd be much better known, but you're right, thinking of them as military heroes makes more sense. I can name several of my country's highest-ranking generals, but very few of our Medal of Honor recipients.
From a brutally practical point of view, why would a high-society pony want to know them? They're unlikely to have an effect on policy. |

Think of the Mane6 as a team OF Navy SEALs. They go on dangerous secret missions and save the world, but they are the unknown heroes.
Infact, Mane6+Seal Team 6. MAKE IT HAPPEN! |

Please tag correctly. I'm trying to find Heartstrings art, and -- while this picture is rather nice -- is not what I'm looking for. |
