^Fleur de Lis is in Fancy and we haven't had a pony name that wasn't in English before. A humanish nickname like Elizabeth isn't a bigger stretch.
Having rewatched the episode I'm more convinced than ever that Fancy Pants is one of Celestia's elite agents, subtly working to remove the iron hoof of class distinction from Equestrian society. Fleur/Liz is the Emma Peel to his John Steed. She was not at the Garden Party because there was a griffin that needed killing in a neighboring kingdom. |

fleur means flower in french however fleur de lis is what her cutie mark IS it would be like calling the background pony Rose ''Flower'' just because Rose is hard to remember her cutie is a Fleur De Lis so lets keep her name that way |
