The more I see of Celestia, the more she seems like a nicer, female version of Havelock Vetinari: sharp-witted, with a fondness for convoluted, behind-the-scenes schemes and screwing with nobility to keep them from getting complacent. |

Celestia seems to hate the noble court.
And her plans in bringing them another misery would have succeededif Fancypants (who is some kind of a spindoctor) is actually a pretty cool dude (and selfish/ambitious, as the connection to the princess seems to lie on a higher priority, than shallow country bumpkin jokes). |
