So it turns out the yacht is the same one Rarity later christens for its first voyage, not very good luck to use it before that, you guys!!!

Well it could be the launching of a sister airship. The smashing of the beverage bottle on the prow indicates that the airship is analogous to a ship, therefore it stands to reason that sister ships to have similar if not the same paint scheme. |

Also, some ships are not christened. Some ships are actually pressed into service with out ceremony. Other ships are dry docked after a span of test trials then christened in a formal ceremony. My two bits are on this theory.
Also being the one to smash the beverage bottle is a high honour. |
