once upon a time it was the shitty monolithic browser that everybody used because it was installed by default on every windows machine. then decent (and free) alternatives showed up and took its place. they've improved it considerably but it's still not quite as good as the alternatives. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/firefox-7-web-browser,3037.html tom's hardware does these all the time, it is interesting to see how browsers actually stack up against eachother in terms of performance. IE does not place as terribly as you'd think. |
