KT is one of the good artists who draws most of the funniest and heartwarming comics about ponies, like the Rubix Cube challenge or Granny Pie. Then one day some Anon started to upload all of his comics that involve ponies, especially the one where he shipped his character with Pinkie Pie with the basic romance tropes (staying at her home, waking up in bed with her that following night even though they were sleeping). Once the people of ponibooru started seeing that they wanted his head on the platter because apparently they don't tolerate any of the mane cast being shipped with unofficial characters, original (like KT Turtle) or fanwise (a made up pony). But despite the hatred against this artist still makes awesome comics about the ponies and thus many are now torn between liking him in general or not due to the fact he shipped his character with Pinkie Pie. Later, the artist himself received news about this site's hatred against his paring and so in response to that, he decides to blatantly make fun of the site by "trolling" them in a way that he knows that will get on their nerves: making a picture of his character kissing Pinkie Pie. It's kind of sad that only a few people follow the "love and tolerance" motto now. |

^^ a.) "Love and tolerance" was always a lie to begin with. People attach themselves to phrases like that as a form of moral posturing, to make themselves feel superior to what they decry.
However, the truth is that all people, categorically, are evil. If there's any good in the universe, it almost certainly isn't to be found with the hairless monkeys of the pale blue dot. In short, get off of your high horse because it doesn't exist and you'll probably just end up breaking your neck. b.) they don't tolerate any of the mane cast being shipped with unofficial characters, original (like KT Turtle) or fanwise (a made up pony) There's a distinction between "original" and "fanwise"? c.) He's not a "good artist" - at best, he's unremarkable. His comics are merely okay. His stories and writing aren't anything you wouldn't find in a children's book or even in a cheap novel you buy at the dollar store - or, heck, even by other artists in the pony fandom. He's a step above someone like Tolstoy (not Leo Tolstoy, the fatfur Tolstoy), but that's not saying much. |

726964: How so? @dudemang 726964: a.) I'll agree with you on that the "love and tolerance" was probably just a joke that someone made up and was unfortunately taken seriously by alot of people. But I actually praise them on at least trying to follow it despite it's origin, it shows that there are people who actually are good enough to actually have some tolerance. So no, I won't "get off of my high horse" and I probably won't break my neck, just receive a few brusises but that's probably it. ^^; b.) Yeah, basically all the pony OCs are really just fancharacters technically. Any character who was ponified or actually turned out to be ponified are really original characters since they were living in their own universe before ponies happened. The same goes for KT since he also has his own universe that he was living on. c.) Actually this is technically what the show is in general as well it's just that it's not too "kiddy" like Mickey Mouse's latest adventures on TV lately. (Although Mickey and his friends only have their former glory in the form of comic books now, not that it's a bad thing. Did I made it sound like a bad thing? :( ) I have no idea who that guy is and I probably couldn't care less if I did outside of his wellbeing. |

Oh, please. My position doesn't equate or even imply "kill everyone" or "kill yourself".
If there was such a thing as good or evil, then I can't see any feasible way that humans would land anywhere on the 'good' side. There are so many justifications and such put forth for our actions, but they never escape the fact that humans do so much at the cost of each other (and for what amounts to essentially serving their self-interest). We espouse so many 'good' values only to arbitrarily abandon them or pick them back up on a whim. We can praise our "progress" all we want, but if you haven't noticed, we're still more or less stuck on this rock that just happens to be in the right place with the right stuff to support life - life that happens to end up killing each other in the name of abstract ideas of 'honor' or 'country' or other things that simply don't exist, or simply because one person happens to be in the way of another or has something another one wants, or hey, maybe they just have a different skin tone, culture, worldview, or they like to pork differently. Thusly, it stands there is no such thing as good or evil, no right or wrong, no ultimate meaning to be found, because none of us can agree on it in the first place. But what's that, you say? You can make your own meaning? Oh, I tell you, I do love me some existentialism. It seems like such a promising concept, until you realize that people will condemn and marginalize you regardless. It doesn't matter if you genuinely believe or just choose to believe in the vein of Camus's Absurd or Kierkegaard's leap of faith (who opposed each other on the grounds of "philosophical suicide" and "demonaic madness" respectively - no surprise there, I guess). So, I can choose what I want to believe? What if I wanted to believe in God and be a Christian? (You can insert another faith in here, I guess, whatever fits under the euphemistic blanket term 'religion'.) I guarantee that most, if not all here, would condemn me for wanting to follow what's probably viewed as the most hateful thing in the world, for "not thinking for myself", for condoning this and that somehow indirectly, despite whatever ideas I held about it. That, or you would lie to me, saying "then you have that choice" or some other humanistic nonsense while maintaining your scorn. So, yeah. "You can believe whatever you want to believe, as long as it's also what I believe" - I think that's how it works? That's why I just don't believe in anything. There's no point. It never makes anyone happier. It's never made me happier. You just make different enemies no matter where you stand. And believe it or not, I don't like fighting and arguing with everyone all the time, even despite my tendency to do so. I've long lost the taste for it. But I guess what kills me most of all is that I'm no better. Just as you all have effectively dismissed and marginalized me by now, I'm sure, I've already done the same to whatever else anyone has put forth. I'm not sure if it's the surest proof or just hypocrisy (yes, I'm so sure it's the latter). And in the end, I'm already just acting out - just like the rest of you - on my own views, which are, as you can tell, highly embittered by my own experiences and compounded by the frustrations caused by various flaws in my character. But I don't guess I've answered your objections in my drawn-out angst. To deny human life's asserted value isn't to deny its existence. There just literally isn't any answer. It's not to place a human's value below that of Earth's, as would befit the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement's rhetoric, it's just to come to terms with the fact that there's no value in the first place. Thusly, I remain skeptical of any value claim. And why not? Being skeptical is a good thing, right? *sigh* Maybe I should quit arguing over the internet. |
