In the real world, nobody is perfect. The better we are, the more we recognize our flaws and the harder we struggle to better ourselves. Why would anyone expect perfection from cartoon ponies? If anyone wrote a perfect cartoon character, you probably wouldn't like it. |

I suppose Pride would make you do stupid shit because one is too arrogant and thinks s/he's better than everything. That's for extreme examples though. Lust... I dunno, STD's? Being killed by someone's jealous ex-boyfriend? Avarice I don't really understand. I guess it also makes you do some stupid decisions, especially if you invest in something and end up being screwed over. Sloth is an easy one. You never want to exercise or do something to better yourself, so you die younger than if you were active. Envy makes you do stupid shit too if it's too extreme. Gluttony is like sloth, but add in eating all that unhealthy junk that Pinkie loves. Diabetes, clogged arteries, etc. Wrath, again, makes you do stupid shit. I think I read somewhere that angry people tend to have health problems... |

@Lancer To add a little bit, there are only two types of "perfect" character. One is the Generic Guy, who's downright boring and rarely a valuable contribution to an ensemble. The other option is the Mary Sue, and that's where everything goes down the drain. |
