It's a known fact France eat the poor dears, then again some meats don't taste right. Had duck once, it tasted horrible. What was worse was that not only was it horrible but I felt terrible knowing the duck had been killed for nothing.
Being a hypocrite however I still eat meat/chicken though not in as large quantities. Wish I ate more veg back in the day. |

Horse and donkeys are probably some of the best meat you can get. Almost no fat and high protein value, Italy has a whole culture of horse meat and China too. Sorry Fluttershy it's only that your relatives are delicious. |

You do know we have a choice whether or not we eat horses. Well, maybe not if it's sausages. |

Buffalo meat is some of the best stuff I've ever eaten, and I'll try most things. That being said, I don't think I have the heart to eat a pony, maybe before FIM but not anymore. |

I live in canada where it's always been legal. it's beter than beef, tastes almost the same except the meat doesnt dry as much on a grill making it perfect for burgers, it's also bouth thrice healthier.it's not really expensive either, same as beef, give or take a few pennys. |

I'd rather not, because horses has more of a pet connotation for most people. |

People love to say that it's hypocritical to be okay with eating cows but not okay with eating dogs and horses, but to me that's a nonsense argument. It implies that all animals are the same, which we all know isn't true.
Fact is, horses have shown the capacity for love and companionship, and are devoted enough to their human owners that they have proven themselves useful in many different types of work. For that, they deserve better than to be turned into cheap hamburgers and dog food. Animals that contribute positively to human wellbeing (ie, pets and work animals) deserve preferred treatment over others. It's a fair and even trade. Not to mention that horses are several times more intelligent than cows. Cows are incredibly stupid even by the standards of farm animals, while horses are about as smart as dogs. |

HORSES, NOT PONIES. |

^Horses ARE ponies |
| Anonymous #727311 7 months ago |
Ponies are a term for a type of horse bred with shorter limbs and snouts for hardy work.
Its like hounds and dogs, not all dogs are hounds but hounds are canis lupus familiars ponies are equus ferus cabbalas |
