Check the source, the description is this:

That has got to be "finding out there's no Santa" times a million.

And I kinda agree.

So Mare do Well fans are highly literate, and Rainbow Dash fans are, well.... like Scootlaoo, Snips and Snails?

I was one of those who hated the episode at first, but seeing the whole thing as a prank really helped me to accept it a bit more.

Someone on fimfiction is doing a continuation of this storyline.

Looks nice so far. But yeah, this is a very heartbreaking moment.

I still wonder why hasn't EqD plugged this yet. It's a good read and I can't wait for following chapters.

Man, this is like when I found out that Spiderman isn't real.

Shut up, I was a very imaginative 8 year old.

Aww. Somebody needs to have a talk with her. Sure, Mare Do Well turned out not to be one pony but the filly can still look up to what she meant to to Ponyville: somebody using their talents to help others. It's not as flashy as a costumed hero but High Hopes can still aspire to be like that when she grows up. And with a name like that, she should probably learn early to put a positive spin on disapointments.
