i search this whole site, tumblr, DA and if i find anything i like i save it one of the many organized folders for future uses or collective purposes.....i have thousands of images, animated, stories, music, all episodes, 1080 HD.......I NEED MORE!! |

I'm not sure if I phrased that well, so it might be better to explain why I'm asking this: I've been following this site since around April-June (about as long as I've been watching the show) and I've become a collector of images on this site.
It's really time-consuming, so instead, I'm thinking of opting to just searching for pics by artists only to save time. Thing is, I've noticed that not all pics of certain, if not all artists (even the popular ones) aren't uploaded by someone else here. I've compiled a list of artists that interest me here based on the images I've saved throughout the months, and am about to go through various means (mainly artists' deviantart accounts) to ensure that most if not all their pics are uploaded here. tl;dr, I'm crazy obsessed. :V |

I find them here or in drawfriends eqd posts, or [shameface] on furaffinity. I try to follow links back to the dA sources and save those because they're frequently bigger, updated, or just "the canonical version".
Also, somepony is the Carcer that is killing md5sum-based 'boorus. I kid. Only srs. But then I'm a pedantfriend who gets upset when people refer to large PNG images as "vectors", you shouldn't listen to me. |

As for myself, I (used to) check every page on this site, then go to pages (tumblr, DA, fimchan threads) of my most favorite artists to check for pics that haven't been uploaded here yet (and if so, upload them myself).
I occasionally check EqD for the off chance they have something new which, luckily, isn't often since either Seth gets pics for Drawfriend showcases directly from this site or the comics they post find their way here. |

I scan through thumbnails and middle click anything that catches my interest, repeat on every page until I run out of new images. Then tab through them all for a closer look and fav/save any I want to keep. Double fav if it has an off site source. |

@Pastel: Now I feel I should apologize, because I don't always take the time to link images properly when applicable (seems superfluous to me since I know they always come from said artist's tumblr/DA/etc) and instead, just try to post the biggest version of a pic, which I haven't always done. |

@Jackarunda: assuming you're running windows, go download http://optipng.sourceforge.net/ and drop the executable in your system32 folder. Then Start>Run, "cmd", navigate to your desired folder and you may command-line optipng to your heart's content. -o7 is the most comprehensive preset option (i.e. it performs the most parameter trials), -i0 forces images to be deinterlaced (by default optipng interlaces the output if it was the case for the input) and -fix will allow it to handle malformed PNGs and recover them if possible.
@AP: Oh yeah, if a larger image source is available I'll go for that. I still have to optimise it though because nobody knows how to optimise their art before they put it anywhere. |

I do just like Carcer, but stop at step 4. I follow some artists on deviantart and I have a few ask tumblrs bookmarked, but most of time I wait for things to be posted here before saving. My ponies folder has 5,47 GB. |

Start at page 1 until I catch up to the last stuff I've seen while I: Favorite above average art, uber-cute or whatever (mostly Applejack stuff), check almost all of the others, check explicit(spoiled) only after I check the tags first; read/write comments as I go along, etc. |

I plow through all the pages that are new to me, saving any images that make me laugh, daw or leave me jelly of artistic talent. I subscribe to many of the best or funniest artists of deviantart. I also read most of the comments on the images I browse here as you guys are fucking hilarious. |

I only open up ones that asre fresh, new and interesting. I may open up some of the TV memes out of curiousity. I open them up in an IE6 tsabbed browser session (NetCaptor). Some files require Firefox Portable such as DA links and others that may generally crash the IE6 session. The IE6 session autosaves the pictures, but not the comments. The external link content are saved or run through Offline Explorer or JDownloader. |

I have a script that automatically downloads every single Ponibooru image, and every image with certain pony-related tags on dA. I also have a local small program similar to TinEye that checks for 100% pixel-by-pixel duplicates and deletes them if they occur.
Sorting I do by hand, and I'm extremely OCD with it. My Pony Images HDD goes about 50 levels deep. |

I scan through the 50-100 pages that have been uploaded since I last logged in. Not knowing clearly what entry number I left off at, since the page numbers change with every new entry. I bookmark the ones I want to take a closer look at later. It's the only way to keep up. |
