So, um, I've played a bit of minecraft, but could never really get into it.
Is it just you have to be imaginative with it? Or does it just get immensely better with friends on multiplayer? I don't know, I've ask a couple of people this question, but could never really get a solid answer... Cute tumblr answer though... |

shaky, you get a plan and stick with it, be it making a town, a huge base, make a story in your head, get determined, multiplayer is better because it is like a real community of people. i have been played for over a year, built flying citys, huge machines, traps and puzzles and i am still not board, it is not for everyone tho, it takes a lot of effort, that is my opinion

@Shaky: Minecraft is something of a survival art program. The main purpose is collect resources with which to build structures, all while trying to survive the wilderness. So yeah, you do need to be quite imaginative, especially if you plan on playing in Creative mode (where survival is not needed).
Also, having the wiki at your side at all times helps loads. You can't figure anything out without it. |

You sort of need to be in a proper mindset to play minecraft. Specifically, the mindsets of either " You know what would look nice in this meadow? A giant winged tiger statue made of cake and diamonds" or "I AM BEAR GRYLLS! FEAR MY PISS!" |

I better stay alway from this thing. Watching anime and tokusatsu, browsing ponibooru and reading Homestuck and fics already occupy more time than I have, and I still gotta find time to work on my own fics. |

For more fun, install mods like IndustrialCraft, BuildCraft, and RedPower.
