There's a downside to being her date, though: the harsh judgments and interrogation by Celestia once she gets into protective mode.
Also, with Celestia's nosy near-omniscience (at least as far as Twi is concerned), it'd be next to impossible to get the girl away for a snog in the shrubbery of the Private Gated Garden. And even if you did, Celestia would probably get a tongue-by-tongue account of it in Twi's next letter and then have her Royal Guard come to throw you in the stockade. |

Not tyranny; just the usual brand of over-protectiveness common to parents or those who've assumed a parental fondness (which Celestia certainly seems to have). It's amusing in mere mortals, but from a God-like Princess, it could be intimidating.

I think it'd be hard to predict exactly how Celestia would take Twilight getting that close to someone. Might be a lot of very critical and prying questions about your intentions with magical assistance. If you're honest about it, I can't imagine it being that bad.
And oh yeah, Pinkie would do things to you you'd never quite recover from and would never want to anyway. But I actually don't really like frosting, so...I don't think we'd work out. |

meh; primates are over-rated. Anyway, it's not so much a primate-anatomy bias as a human-anatomy bias... unless you're saying you'd rather date a chimp, gorilla or other primate species than Twi, lol. Humans are the only semi-tolerable extant species of primate. Even if another primate species developed true sapience, it's hard to get around the fact they're unattractive physically. Twi is a cutie.
