... to OTHERS.
They were just giving Rainbow a taste of her own medicine. |

When something good happens to me. I certainly don't want my "friends" to try and knock me down. |
| Dachimotsu #720233 7 months ago |
@232: Someone completely missed the moral of that episode. |

RD fans are such thin-skins. |

^^^^ ^^^ ^^ ^ and then they all argued over nothing again. |
| CallMeAl #720248 7 months ago |
It was more along the lines of dropping hints, detailing exactly what they admire about this new hero and trying to tell Rainbow what kind of hero she should be. |

It's like how they changed "Applejack's" eye colors (actually Rarity, of course) in "Sisterhooves Social". It's just a hint. Maybe some people saw this episode and knew RD;s friends were behind it, maybe they didn't. |

@CallMeAl
^What he said. Rainbow would have probably NEVER listened if they tried to talk to her about it, thus the elaborate Mare Do Well stuff. On the other hand, I do think the part where they laughed at Rainbow Dash for being jealous (or, at least, laughing at her for denying it) was a bit TOO harsh. Way to teach kids that if your friend is jealous and feeling pretty bad, even if they're trying to hide it, you should just laugh at 'em! I'll be honest, when Rainbow noted that Mare Do Well seemed to know about the dangers before they happened--referencing the construction incident--I wondered if Mare Do Well, whoever they were, was making all the dangerous stuff happen, which would lead to Rainbow Dash trying to expose Mare Do Well as the villain she was...or something like that XD the scene with the dam made it obvious "who" Mare Do Well was, though. |

@ElementofChaos
I thought that Rainbow mentioning Mare Do Well's foreknowledge of disasters was a hint about Pinkie Pie's Pinkie-Sense (and another clue that RD completely missed) |

I'm an RD fan, but I'm not butthurt from this. This episode was great and I loved how they trolled RD.
I just believe I didn't catch Mare-Do-Well being the other 5 after what they said in this pic. |

Season 2 has been like this earlier (episode 5) |

1 person says They don't like their friends to knock him down when something good happens to him.
"LOL RAINBOWDASH FANS ARE SO BUTT-HURT! U MAD?" |
| Anonymous #720836 7 months ago |
@anon774
Any picture of Mare-Do-Well gets auto-derailed into "WORST EPISODE EVER" discussion almost every time, all because they argue the Mane 6 took it too far with the town's rebellious prankster. Don't act surprised that this is happening. |

Though well-produced, it's a rather simple show, written for children. But some refuse to understand the moral of the story though it be writ in bloody red letters ten feet high. Any embarrassment Rainbow Dash suffered, she brought upon herself. |
| Anonymous #726854 7 months ago |
@Dachimotsu they were trying to give her a HINT! plus you have to admit RD should have realize theres more than one Mare do well when she sprouted wings AND a horn (I mean come on. |
| Anonymous #773500 7 months ago |
No matter how you rationalize it, what they did was taunt her about her own inadequacy and laugh at her feelings instead of talking about them like a sane or caring person would. |
