Past Sins has a fine enough story, but it is seriously hampered by implausible actions by several major characters, an OC Alicorn protagonist with only adorable flaws (and any character who dislikes her is presented in a negative light), and - and this is the biggie - an almost FATAL excess of length. The same story could be abridged to perhaps 100 pages without losing anything of value. It just goes on...and on.....AND ON. |

^ I would contend you're arguing it has a fine premise, but as the conflict is basically "Is my adorable OC amazing or is Equestria full of EVIL PREJUDICED DICKHEADS LIKE MY HIGH SCHOOL", the story itself is pretty lackluster and its execution sub-par. |

I never ever post in here but I just kind of felt like telling you that I share this very opinion and it seems to be a rare one at that. although you kind of make it sound like a bad thing, which I find hard to understand. imho it's an outstanding story which I'd refer to pretty much every fan of post-apocalyptic fiction. the fact that it somehow has the characters being ponies is pretty forgettable, but it's a really good read. |

It's only a "bad thing" in that the author included those horse puns to generate attention for what [b]could[b] have been a Fallout fanfic, but robbed of the world that created Fallout the essence of the property is lost and it dilutes the overall product. I think the pony element genuinely harms what could be a solid post-apoc story, or really good Fallout fic. |
