I think they intentionally made Mare Do Well be all 5 of Rainbow's Friends so that no-one would get the idea of Mare Do Well / Rainbow Dash shipping in their heads. It would have been bad enough if it was one of her friends, but if it was a new character it would be like the Trixie/Twilight shipping but even worse since Mare Do Well is good (whereas Trixie has to be woobified into "Twixie" in order to ship her with Twilight). |
