OP here.
^ I couldn't find any Pony characters with a stare at the screen look that was as epic as Simon's. (I was this close to a Bedroom_Eyes picture) ^^^^ That's kind of the joke. Everyone's in their human form, and Derpy gets the short end of the stick. It kind of reminds me of Doc from Gokaiger. |

@281: It's the link in the source. I didn't know half the characters in the shot, so I adlibbed some of them. But for the characters I did know...
Celestia and Lord Genome are obvious, as both are royalty. Rarity is put there because the Gurren counterpart had glasses. Twilight took over Yoko's spot because she's pretty much the closest thing to a heroine. Both versions of Pinkie Pie replace Darry and Gimmy because they're related. Spike replaces Boota because he's the team pet. The dude Applejack replaced looked big and strong like Applejack. And Derpy is still a pony because there was only one animal in the shot, though Spike took over that spot. |
