#395 I don't love Derpy. In fact, I'm kinda tired of the whole phenomenon. I mean, she's just a pony who had an animation error in her eyes, and now she's as popular, if not more, than some of the main characters. It's kinda silly, if you ask me. |

And it got me thinking, this could actually work as a story. What it brought to mind was the Python's "Bicycle Repairman" sketch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxfzm9dfqBw) and the Powerpuff episode "Members Only" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xs9PG-XAlsI#t=216s ...btw that's such a great ep and makes me miss miss Faust even more.) The Wonderbolts are all strong and fast, but they too have the skills that they lack, and it may be some job they normally look down upon - but an unremarkable pony who can do that job and help when they find themselves in a pinchending in the position of 'their' hero - that's quite a good FiM story! |
