Lilpip's magic glow? I originally had it blue, until I looked at her Pipbuck.
Call it an IME (Individual Magical Effect). It's much easier to say/write than "magic glow" and it sounds all cool and official. The artist for the 'Goblins' webcomic came up with it, I think. Either that, or it started with D&D. Either way, it's awesome. Particularly powerful magic users can manifest their IMEs in other ways. For example, Celestia and Luna's IMEs manifest as their awesome hair, even when they're not casting spells, simply because they're so powerful. |
