I haven't played the Imperial Legion side, yet, but the only Stormcloaks that I actually liked were the old general guy and the guy that helps you in the first few minutes of the game. My next save will go Imperial.
I'm still going to murder every Thalmor I see, though. I don't like them. Not at all. |

Ulfric killed the High King fair and square. The duel was legal under ancient law of the Nords, and the weapons he used were sacred in Nord eyes - to call it murder is to intentionally dismiss cultural traditions of the Nordic people, which is exactly the sort of arrogance that drives Nords to see Ulfric as their saviour.
Besides, Ulfric is only an asset if he loses. They say right in his file that they don't actually want the Stormcloaks to win, so if you play Empire and put them down you're doing exactly what the Thalmor want. The way to fuck up the Thalmor's plans is to help Skyrim separate and prove that the Empire is obsolete. The Dominion can beat the Empire, they've proven that much. Can they beat a confederation of independent states of Tamril? One that could get the Argonians and Khajiit on side? One that follows the Hammerfell example of successful resistance? Less certain. |
