the subtle difference is one was just showing off and this was dash actually doing things.

Well... trixie was saying she did things she never did (and could not do).
Rainbow Dash COULD do and DID things she bragged about. |

This had "Not turning hero fame into arrogance". Or something like that. |

But yeah, this ep was practically was the anti-Boast Busters.
"Don't be afraid to showcase your special talents for fear of looking like a braggart, your friends will surely understand." "Woah woah, not so fast bucko, we didn't mean THAT much." Also, anyone else finding it strange that when Dash just saved someone's freaking life her friends are more concerned about her acting uppity? If I was writing the episode I'd have given her some lighter good acts to feel proud about, rather than this unlikely catastrophe series that also made her a -legitimate- hero (so the others not being happy seemed a little sour grapes). |

You do realize that in the screenshot Dash was willing to take her sweet time writing an autograph instead of saving someone from a very HIGH and likely fatal fall? She WAS getting a bit full of herself there. And she was being unwilling to share the spotlight with others too. |
