And yes, USUALLY you can tell with JJ, even if they are just different heads on the Jonesco Body. But Black Cat kind of looks like this -anyway-. More attention to the bands of color in her hair, or some intimation of the regalia - come on, it's Black Cat, how about some purloined jewelry? - would have gone a long way. I typically like his work. But this one feels sloppy. |

But that's what DA is for. Ponibooru hosts pony art. If there was any actual administration or staffing this would be worth talking about, of course. "How much does artist intent overcome total lack of resemblance?" is worthwhile for an art archive to address - if I make sure to get the colors right and just post some blobs of Paint tool and claim I'm just really bad at drawing ponies, does it stay? - but since this is just a fucking zoo in which we're left to fight, fuck, and eat each other, it's kind of irrelevant. I think this was a really, really lazy job from an otherwise technically gifted and often quite clever artist. I think maybe he meant it to be Celestia, but I also think you have to do more for that than "her hair looks like it's blowing forward". But since at the end of the day almost everything stays up since Eco put up "porn allowed" and basically washed his hands of the site (don't blame him), it's irrelevant what I think of it other than "Not worth faving or upvoting, but also not deserving of a downvote". |
