Lauren Faust NEVER confirmed Derpy is Ditzy. She confirmed that Ditzy was a name that was considered for Derpy if they ever wanted to re-use the unseen Ditzy Doo character again.
But they never did. Lauren Faust DID however sell a picture of her on Ebay calling her "Derpy Hooves". And the as shown here, the Hub website calls her Derpy. I really wish people would stop thinking that Ditzy Doo is her official name. It was abandoned by all except the fans who like that name. |

Hey guys? Hate to break it to you, but Ditzy Doo is "Derpy Hooves." Lauren Faust outright called her that in the interview with EqD and there have been several storyboard images released with "Derpy" clearly written on them. Sorry, but thats how the cookie crumbles. |
