It starts... again |
| Anonymous #703311 8 months ago |
They're ancillary to canon; if the toy mentions something that doesn't contradict the show, it's canon until it does. The usual tier is Show(but not songs on the show)>Word of God>Songs from the show>Other official songs and stories>toys>fanon |
| AzureAngelic #703317 8 months ago |
The problem is not "why did Hasbro's toy department give a HasbrOC Trixie's cutie mark".
The problem is that this completely revalidates the entire Lyra/Heartstrings shitstorm by dampening the credibility of toy-show correlations. /bunker/ |
| Anonymous #703326 8 months ago |
>Lyra/Heartstring
>Shitstorm Why don't you go cry to your mother, you thin-skinned sissyman. |
| Scootsmod #703327 8 months ago |
#703311:
^this, it's the same way in many fandoms. |
| Anonymous #703337 8 months ago |
I don't think toys should be considered canon at all. They make too many mistakes and go against the show way too often to be credible. |
| HeinousActsZX #703340 8 months ago |
Okay.
First off, #703326, you be nice. Second, why is this a problem? Plenty of ponies on the show have duplicate cutie marks. |

>credible
I think you need to ask Sweetie Belle to help you with learning what words mean. |
| AzureAngelic #703360 8 months ago |
@337
I've always thought of there as being three canons, myself. There's the show (show and other official stories and whatnot), fanon (Lyra/Bonbon, Derpy, Whooves) and toynon (where Celestia is pink and Pinkie Pie is allowed to operate heavy machinery). |
| Robomorons #703371 8 months ago |
I can already hear the FIM wikia shitting itself in confusion over this development |
| Anonymous #703390 8 months ago |
@347
I think you need to ask Twilight to read that sentence for you. Credible was an acceptable word choice. |
| tygerbug #703400 8 months ago |
I really like her ... name?? |
| tygerbug #703410 8 months ago |
We need Hasbro cards with the wrong name for every character.
Twilight can be Starshine Twinkle. Derpy can be Bubbleshine. |
| Anonymous #703430 8 months ago |
I'm starting to wonder if the term 'blindbag' is too apropriate in this case. |
| tygerbug #703435 8 months ago |
[I was gonna call Colgate Snow Days. But Minuette isn't cool. Not cool at all.] |
| Cherny_Pegas #703441 8 months ago |
There's a pink apple truck parked somewhere in Sweet Apple Acres where we just can't see it. They made a toy of it, so it must be canon! |
| tygerbug #703459 8 months ago |
I REALLY LIKE HER NAME! |
| Anonymous #703460 8 months ago |
Well there are plenty of recolors in the show. There just happens to be one with Trixie's cutie mark.
Not a big deal you guys |
| Anonymous #703507 8 months ago |
Are you guys even sure that's Trixie and not "Blu-Rarity" from Adventures in Ponyville? |
| Silver #703524 8 months ago |
#703371
>I can already hear the FIM wikia shitting itself in confusion over this development So true. They set themselves up for a lot of stupid when they took toy names for show ponies. |
| Anonymous #703541 8 months ago |
Nah. This is Incidental Unicorn #1. |
| thatguy #703582 8 months ago |
#703371
#703524 Don't know where you get that idea. The wiki uses a simple priority system where the show overrides everything else, there is nothing here that would cause confusion. |
| Anonymous #703596 8 months ago |
Do you not remember that drama that occurred three weeks ago? |
| Thaluka #703744 8 months ago |
Using the toy names is pointless, it seems almost like they are labeled with a random-word generator. Even ponies clearly named in the show just get random names. |
| Anonymous #704046 8 months ago |
...Has anybody actually thought that "The Great and Powerful Trixie" was a stage name for 'Lunamoon'? Wouldn't that avoid most of the complaints...or that the name could of been foreign exclusive? Srsly, I think everybody taking it too badly sometimes...won't this makes us look bad? ._. |
| Thaluka #704074 8 months ago |
No. |
| Kanrabat #704627 8 months ago |
There's two universes.
The show, and the toys. We know the show. In the toy universe, ponies have cars and trucks. Celestia is bright pink. Angel is female. Owlicious is a pink twit. Carousel boutique is just a carousel. Applejack rarely wear her hat and if she does, her hat is pink. Baby ponies are horribly deformed abobinations. Applebloom's real name is Scootaloo. Ect... |
| Anonymous #705480 8 months ago |
@627: Well, actually Celestia's pink b/c of 'pink sells', Carousel boutique was actually a carousel in the original show bible, and you're taking the whole thing too seriously...besides, that last one is obviously a namming error. :P |

Dude who said this is Trixie cute mark should go look again, they're barely similar, if that... |

Don't forget that Princess Luna's name is also Princess Selena. |
