Some of the ponies using parchment is a bigger problem. _Paper_ is made of plant materials, but _parchment_ is animal skin. Some of their stuff is paper, though, as the writing utensils for paper vs. parchment don't have much overlap. |

Hm. I guess it might be possible to make artificial parchment out of some kind of plastic or rubber, like with artificial leather. That would probably be the closest. |

@702934: The major issue is that when the ponies do it, there's the chance they may be killing their own kind for it. Humans don't make HUMANS into glue and parchment, is the difference. |

These materials can come from anything, really. Just take any type of miscellaneous pus, put 'em together, refine 'em, something like that, probably. |
