Hoh Boy, some of you peeps sure take the funnies too seriously, doncha'. Let me start by saying I am not homophobic nor is gay bashing intended with this comic. That would be horrible of me since not only do I have friends who are gay, but I am a full supporter of gay marriage. That being said, what is the point of the comic you may ask.
Well, not really much intended outside the Gay Parade character was intended to be a parody of the fact a lot of people seem to be convinced Rainbow Dash is a lesbian just because of her rainbow hair and tomboy attitude, which I find pretty silly considering she has done nothing in the show that would honestly be gay. I'm also not a fan of shipping, so that's probably in there too. With that said, the comic is really just meant to be a silly gag comic, kinda' in the style of something you'd see in Mad Magazine or a 1950s comic strip. This may become more evident with the next couple of strips the don't have Gay Parade in them. But who knows, you guys will probably come up with something from those too. :p PS. You guys crack me up. |
