Saying there is no god isn't really a negative value it's more of a value of zero. That is to say, Atheism is the act of saying "without proof of god there should be no reason to say there is a god". Unless you are just talking about a grammatical negative such as "no" or "not" |

Its funny when people say "God" exists. Define God. Not neccessarily what hes made of, but what are his properties, his personality, what he thinks is critically or non-critically good or bad. Ask 5 religious people and get 5 answers. why? because hes what you want him to be.
Also, only the claim that there is a God, with "ethereal" qualities, does not give you absolute knowledge. Its just an assertion. I hereby assert that there are blue giraffes floating in the "ether". There, proven fact right? -_- |

What you're proposing is that his existence and ontology is dependent on our observing him. But I think that's silly. If a calamity that wiped out all of humanity (and any other life that happened to be capable of "observing") occurred, and the rest of the world were otherwise untouched, would that mean that the rest of the world effectively ceased to exist? I don't see how it could. Obviously, my view is in the minority, I certainly don't hold the "correct" philosophical attitude* in this den of blind humanistic praise, but it doesn't really matter. I'll just learn to live with contempt. *that is to say, to deny God categorically and shun and mock anybody who entertains the notion otherwise while maintaining a moral highground of some fabrication |
